Kwai Chung
Hong Kong

The Kwai Chung project is part of Route 3, route that links Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon peninsula to Hong Kong International Airport and China. The Kwai Chung project extends for 3 km from the rambler channel on the north, through the Kwai Chung Container port and joins on the south the reclaimed land on west Kowloon. The mainline deck is typically 40 m wide, but can go up to 60 m at the junctions with ramps. There are 100 spans, typically 35 m long made from precast u-beam erected by specially designed launching equipment to span the portals.
